Xcentral

This is a PC based software solution that manages stock through a simple interface and becomes the backbone for a standalone system utilising Xbatch or Xwms mobile device software for the collection of data relating to stock. Small to medium organisations would benefit greatly using a standalone stock management system where their backend accounting system doesn’t support stock management or implementation options to do so become prohibitive.

In its basic form Xcentral enables a user to search for a particular product to display its status such as quantity, location and serial number information. This data is captured and imported from the warehouse floor using Xbatch or Xms using traditional activities such as Receiving, Picking and Transferring. This enables the organisation to manage their stock effectively through the two main business processes of purchasing goods and sale of goods.

Typical Xcentral – Xbatch workflow

1. Reference data is synchronised between the Xcentral and the mobile device running Xbatch. This adds value to the data collection process by providing additional reference information to the operator relating to the current inventory level and detail of items such as descriptions.

2. Data collected by the mobile devices running Xbatch is synchronised back to Xcentral. This enables sales and purchasing functions to effectively conduct and maximise profitability.

Example below shows an item search with results displaying location, serial number, quantity and date stamp information. This can be utilised by sales to identify order fulfilment availability quickly and accurately.
